Tony Cox - re-release a little after summer

After a bit of a struggle with rights issues we are happy to announce the reissue of the TONY COX album - The Summer Comes My Loves .

The recordings will be on all platforms from the 5th September 2025 -

Some of these tunes I worked right there on the spot in the studio. I was in a home studio and time was not a factor.

I was away from home and missing my family and doing a bit of channeling. I was though enjoying the freedom to play and experiment; to get to play over my tunes with a different instrument and work on counterparts was a delight.

Once again I let the tunes go where they will so there is much fusing of genres going on with me, almost always.

My daughter Thalo did the beautiful artwork.

Lesley Rae Dowling and Tully McCully - a new single

South African songstress Lesley Rae Dowling sent shock waves through the local pop music business with her stunningly individual style of vocal delivery when she came on the scene in the early 1980s. Her producer Tully McCully wrote Grips of Emotion for her and it hit the charts in January 1982. The follow-up release, her debut album revealed that she was also a serious songwriter. Her song Spaniard was the second single to garner heavy rotation leading to the first album going gold not long afterwards.
