Sol Okarina, una artista polifacética: cantante, compositora, intérprete, compositora y productora. Su música lleva al público en un viaje sonoro único, marcado por raíces afro-latinoamericanas, influencias caribeñas y colombianas, así como elementos de música electrónica y contemporánea.
Ha trabajado en los campos de producción y composición musical para álbumes, películas, series de televisión, formatos web, producciones multimedia y teatrales. En este contexto, ha escrito numerosas canciones —tanto música como letras— para una amplia variedad de proyectos. Además, ha sido responsable de la gestión y ejecución de iniciativas artísticas y eventos culturales.
Entre 2017 y 2020, Sol fue fundadora y directora del capítulo colombiano de la organización Women in Music. En 2020, colaboró con el equipo de Global Peace Drive e inició la iniciativa Songs4Planet Challenge, un proyecto que dio voz y nuevas oportunidades a artistas emergentes. Al igual que Sol, sus iniciativas sueñan con un mundo mejor, llevando un mensaje positivo y esperanzador a través de la música y el arte.
En 2021, Sol Okarina fue reconocida por ProColombia y el Ministerio de Cultura como una de las 21 emprendedoras más destacadas de Colombia. Representó la escena musical colombiana como embajadora en WOMEX en los años 2017, 2020 y 2021.
En 2023, realizó una residencia artística en Suiza con el apoyo de Pro Helvetia. Su investigación se centró en la síntesis analógica, las grabaciones de campo de agua y la personificación de las voces de las Undinas, seres mitológicos y protectores del agua con un significado transcultural. Durante su estancia, desarrolló un concepto artístico de fluidez sonora, donde fusionó sonidos orgánicos y sintéticos, voz y electrónica, ritmos latinoamericanos y la escena experimental de Suiza.
En 2024, Sol Okarina tuvo el honor de representar a su país en la antigua ciudad de Samarcanda, en Uzbekistán, una de las cunas de la civilización humana. Mientras continúa su camino artístico, establece nuevas conexiones musicales a través de la colaboración con artistas europeos y lleva el espíritu de sus raíces a los diálogos sonoros globales.
En 2025 continúa desarrollando su carrera en Berlin, Alemania, en donde realiza alianzas estratégicas con productores musicales e instituciones para continuar con su búsqueda estética y el desarrollo de un nuevo sonido, en donde la innovación y la curiosidad son su sello.
La obra de Sol Okarina está marcada por el corazón y la profundidad. Sol Okarina ist eine vielseitige Künstlerin: Sängerin, Komponistin, Interpretin und Produzentin. Ihre Musik nimmt das Publikum mit auf eine einzigartige Klangreise, geprägt von afro-lateinamerikanischen Wurzeln, karibischen und kolumbianischen Einflüssen sowie Elementen elektronischer und zeitgenössischer Musik.
Sie ist in den Bereichen Musikproduktion und Komposition für Alben, Filme, Fernsehserien, Webformate sowie multimediale und theatralische Produktionen tätig. In diesem Zusammenhang hat sie zahlreiche Songs – sowohl Musik als auch Texte – für eine große Vielfalt an Projekten geschrieben. Darüber hinaus war sie für die Konzeption, Organisation und Umsetzung künstlerischer Initiativen und kultureller Veranstaltungen verantwortlich.
Zwischen 2017 und 2020 war Sol Gründerin und Leiterin des kolumbianischen Chapters der Organisation Women in Music. Im Jahr 2020 arbeitete sie mit dem Team von Global Peace Drive zusammen und initiierte die Songs4Planet Challenge, ein Projekt, das aufstrebenden Künstlerinnen und Künstlern eine Stimme und neue Möglichkeiten eröffnete. 2023 absolvierte sie mit Unterstützung von Pro Helvetia eine künstlerische Residenz in der Schweiz. Ihre Forschung konzentrierte sich auf analoge Synthese, Field Recordings von Wasser sowie die Verkörperung der Stimmen der Undinen – mythologischer Wesen und Beschützerinnen des Wassers mit einer kulturübergreifenden Bedeutung. Während ihres Aufenthalts entwickelte sie ein künstlerisches Konzept der klanglichen Fluidität, in dem sie organische und synthetische Klänge, Stimme und Elektronik, lateinamerikanische Rhythmen und die experimentelle Musikszene der Schweiz miteinander verband.
2024 hatte Sol Okarina die Ehre, ihr Land in der antiken Stadt Samarkand in Usbekistan zu vertreten, einer der Wiegen der menschlichen Zivilisation. Auf ihrem weiteren künstlerischen Weg knüpft sie neue musikalische Verbindungen durch die Zusammenarbeit mit europäischen Künstlerinnen und Künstlern und bringt den Geist ihrer Wurzeln in globale Klangdialoge ein.

Sol Okarina is a multifaceted artist: singer, songwriter, composer, performer and producer. Her music takes audiences on a unique sonic journey shaped by Afro-Latin American roots, Caribbean and Colombian influences, as well as elements of electronic and contemporary music.
She has worked in music production and composition for albums, films, television series, web formats, multimedia and theatre productions. Within these fields, she has written numerous songs – both music and lyrics – for a wide range of projects. She has also been responsible for the development, management and execution of artistic initiatives and cultural events.
Between 2017 and 2020, Sol was the founder and director of the Colombian chapter of Women in Music. In 2020, she collaborated with the Global Peace Drive team and initiated the Songs4Planet Challenge, a project created to give emerging artists a voice and new opportunities. Like Sol herself, these initiatives share a vision of a better world, bringing a positive and hopeful message through music and art.
In 2021, Sol Okarina was recognized by ProColombia and the Colombian Ministry of Culture as one of Colombia’s 21 outstanding women entrepreneurs. She represented the Colombian music scene as an ambassador at WOMEX in 2017, 2020 and 2021.
