Amandine and Rosalie - new release EP

The two favorite Franco-Ontarian heroines, Amandine and Rosalie, are proposing new songs for the little ones. "J'aime ma francophonie" and "C'est là où j'irais" take a tour of the French-Canadian and Francophone heritage accross the world. Now, the duo, which is already almost in its tenth year of existence, wants to share its music beyond its borders. And the idea of an EP was born.

Amandine and Rosalie are back with new adventures : with their friends, they will discover the multiple facets of the French heritage both in Canada and accross the world. And they won't need passports! All they have to do is take a little trip within their school class to discover the flavours and cultures of the world and learn more about the melody of the French accents that make up their great and beautiful country: Canada!

Originally, Les Aventures d'Amandine et Rosalie was a children's television series created by Nathalie Nadon and aired on BellFibe in 2017. This duo has since evolved to present multiple live shows and is now presenting a new EP.

The EP Amandine et Rosalie, J'aime ma francophonie is accompanied by video capsules shot in Barrie (Ontario, Canada) and featuring young actors and actresses from the Toronto and Georgian Bay area. "It was important for us to make them more involved in our adventures. Kids like to see themselves on screen, they like to feel represented and to recognize themselves. And since we're talking about francophone accents and melodies, I wanted the kids to be able to hear themselves too, so they could understand each other better," says Nathalie Nadon, designer and director of this duo that is so popular with children. You can view the capsules on their website at www.lesaventuresdamandineetrosalie.com.

McCully/Mackay Prog Rock project

Terence McCullagh aka. Tully McCully, has pulled in keyboard specialist Gordon Mackay to partner with him on his first solo album.  Tully and Gordon have performed together in McCully Workshop, but what they are offering this time is very different to the sort of music they do in their band.  Tully started out recording this new material on his own and then saw that it would be appropriate to have an instrument that is featured in solos and special parts of the songs. Tully is a multi-instrumentalist with bass and guitar being his specialities.   Adding Gordon, who is  classically schooled and a  virtuoso electric keyboard player, provided just the right additional elements required for the musical style they are recording. Gordon is the brother of well known rock musician, Duncan Mackay, who made a name for himself in the UK in the 1980s, notably with the band...

Robin Auld's third album - Ocean Motion

Probably the most commercially successful of his early records, Ocean Motion is Robin Auld & Z-Astaire's second and Auld's third album. (c) Songwrights Publishers. Photo Bruce Granville-Mathews. We re-issue the original tracks on the 30th of August 2024. Here is a press release from the artist management. > Ocean Motion was Robin Auld and Z-Astaire's 2nd album for the band line-up.  Produced in 1985 by Kevin Shirley in Cape Town for Mountain Records, it yielded the number one song All of Woman, along with other top ten songs Sesheke Town and After the Fire .  The band's sound had consolidated after several tours and the release propelled them further into national prominence in their home country of South Africa, playing big shows country wide and confirming them as one of the countries top rock music acts.  The album also showcased the  wider influences of the band and Auld's songwriting in songs such as " Village is a house " and " ...
