The Adams Legacy - Collaboration tribute single

The son of the late Cape Town superstar balladeer Zayn Adam, is Danyaal Adams. He has put together a sound recording tribute to his dad, featuring many regional artists who knew, worked with and respected the artistry of his father.

The result is a kind of We are the World style anthem written specially for the project by Zahir Samsodien and produced by Taurik Blignaut, titled You're not alone. It took him over a year to get all the artists on board and to complete the production to his satisfaction.

The release, issued under the artist name The Adams Legacy, is slated for the 2nd of September 2022. It is hoped that it will help promote a tribute concert he is planning in their home city for 22rd October 2022. The show date was changed from this weekend due to building operations at the venue.

Performing on the recording are Glenn Robertson, Madeegah Anders, Nuraan Boltman, Nur Abrahams, Fagri Isaacs, Cole Adams, Azra Adams, Zahir Samsodien, Ekraam Cupido, Greg Jacobs and Fally Jardien. Bass guitar Abdu Daiyaan, flamenco guitar Yazeed Adams, saxophone Greg Jacobs, trumpet and horns Lenny Blignaut.

McCully/Mackay Prog Rock project

Terence McCullagh aka. Tully McCully, has pulled in keyboard specialist Gordon Mackay to partner with him on his first solo album. Tully and Gordon have performed together in McCully Workshop, but what they are offering this time is very different to the sort of music they do in their band. Tully started out recording this new material on his own and then saw that it would be appropriate to have an instrument that is featured in solos and special parts of the songs. Tully is a multi-instrumentalist with bass and guitar being his specialities.
